After talking with the Samaritan woman at the well, Jesus said to his disciples, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work. Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest”? I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see how the fields are already white for harvest. He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps. I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor. “That day many Samaritans believed in him because of the woman’s testimony. He told me all that I ever did”. After staying 2 more days, many more believed, and said “we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and we know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world” (John 4:34–42) Today we face the same problem that Jesus had pointed out to His disciples. They could not see that “the fields are already white for harvest”. (John 4:35) This becomes evident to those who travel from country to country where more and more church buildings become empty and are for sale. These churches had long histories of pastors and leaders who could not see that the “fields are already white for the harvest”. Many more will be closed down because of the failure of their Pastors, and clergy who no longer see that the needs of their people. Salvation can only be met by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The tools for the Harvest and proof of ministry are not seen as a necessity: Salvation, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit proven by “the Signs”: casting out demons, speaking in new tongues languages, protection and healing ministry (Mk.16:17– 20; the Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 12:6–8; 1 Cor. 12:8–10). When equipped with tools for the Harvest only then, can we see that the fields are ripe and ready for the harvest. When a Church is not doing the “real” ministry of Jesus Christ, like the Church in Ephesus, they have lost their “first love”. Jesus will close it down and not the devil! Jesus warned: “I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first….Remember then from what you have fallen, repent and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come and remove your lampstand form its place, unless you repent” (Rev. 2:4 – 6). There is no church in Ephesus today! Our ministry is to bring revival or renewal to people and churches so they will not lose their “first love”. If you or your church needs to receive your “first love” for Jesus, come to one of our meetings or invite me to come to your church for meetings. If you would like to receive Salvation, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, healing and/or any of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, I invite you come to one of our house meetings or to contact me to request prayer and guidance.
