ABOUT REV. GORDON WILLIAMS (1937 - 2023)

 
Rev. Gordon Williams, also known as “the Rev”, was a Spirit-filled evangelist, pastor, teacher and author who was known for his hearty laughter and amazing boldness for preaching the full Gospel, including the work of the Holy Spirit. Gordon, who operated in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, witnessed to a multitude of people, leading them to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and to receive physical, mental and emotional healing. Gordon also had a deliverance ministry. He held a M.Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and was first ordained by the United Church of Canada. 

In 1986, he was ordained by the PAOC (The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada) and ECAMFC (Evangelical Church Alliance Ministerial Fellowship of Canada). For a number of years, he served on the Board of Directors of ECAMFC as the Vice-President.

Throughout his exciting ministry, Gordon had served as Senior Pastor to several large congregations, conducted Camp Meetings and Crusades, preached at Missions, taught at Seminars and Retreats and has spoken at Seminaries and Bible Colleges.
 
He had preached and taught at both Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (F.G.B.M.F.I.) and Business Men's Fellowship Canada (BMF) chapter meetings, conventions, advances, rallies and other functions. He has also ministered at many "Christian Business Men's Fellowship" meetings and retreats.
 
Gordon's ministry had included Christian motorcycle clubs, motorcycle gang members. In 1988, Gordon appeared in the award winning movie "God Rides a Harley" about reformed bad-boy bikers who now spread the word of God. They sing hymns instead of raising hell, trading in sin for spiritual enlightenment. He had also led many students and faculty members on university and college campuses to salvation and to the Baptisms of the Holy Spirit.
 
Gordon had appeared as a guest on numerous local and national Radio and Television Talk Shows in Canada and the United States . In 1983, Gordon joined the staff of " 100 Huntley Street ", Canada 's National daily Christian television ministry. The daily program is produced by Crossroads Christian Communications, Inc. (C.C.C.I.). Gordon started as the Toronto Area Director and later became the assistant to the president, Rev. David Mainse. Gordon was responsible for the scriptural overview at the conclusion of each telecast, co-hosted the program, and conducted rallies, banquets and telethons. He has also represented " 100 Huntley Street' s" ministry at various meetings and functions. 
 
Rev. Gordon has been a featured guest on radio shows such as the "Richard Syrett Show, 1010 CFRB", " Canada AM" and "W-5" a few to mention. He also originally hosted and produced 100 Huntley Street 's "Night Lite", a live, open-line talk show seen on the "Crossroads Television Station" from Monday through to Friday, 3:30 to 5:30 a.m. Every night people were reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Gordon held a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) from Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and a Master of Divinity Degree (M. Div) from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey, United States. He was ordained by the "United Church of Canada" and remained with that denomination until 1986. He also became ordained in the "Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada" (P.A.O.C.). Gordon served as Vice President on the National Board of Directors for the "Evangelical Church Alliance Ministerial Fellowship of Canada" (E.C.A.M.F.C).
 
Throughout the years, Gordon has published many Christian teaching materials to help equip and encourage other Christians to do ministry. His first book "Like a Rushing Mighty Wind" is a theologically sound study and an introspective look at what the normal Christian life should be. It highlights the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" and the fifteen "Gifts of the Holy Spirit" as outlined in the books of Romans and Corinthians.
 
His second book, "Spirit-led Days: Day by Day with the Holy Spirit" is a daily devotional format and a step-by-step, day-by-day study of what the entire scriptures says about the person of the Holy Spirit.
 
His last two books, "The Forgotten Key to Christian Marriage", and "Victory over the Kingdom of Darkness", are two rich in theological teachings and equip the saints for the abundant Christian life in the Holy Spirit. 
 
Gordon has also published several booklets and reports. "Exciting Praise, Expressing Appreciation to God", teaches spiritual exercises of praise and worship as outlined in the scriptures, while "Clock Watchers Incorporated" teaches about the future and End Times Ministry; and "Generational Sin, Gone Forever", explains why God no longer passes on generational sins. He has produced video and audio teaching materials: "The Baptism and Gifts of the Holy Spirit", "From Caterpillar to Butterfly" and "The Personal Testimony of Gordon Williams" to name a few.
 
Gordon has visited and evangelized in many overseas churches and congregations as well. This includes countries such as Ecuador , Ukraine , Brazil , Ethiopia , El Salvador , Israel and Northern Ireland.
 
During September 1992, Gordon was a member of the first "Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship", Airlift to the Ukraine ", a former Republic of the Soviet Union (U.S.S.R.). Here he preached, witnessed, and ministered to thousands of people of all ages at open-air meetings, banquets, schools, orphanages and churches of many denominations.
 
Throughout Rev. Gordon Williams ministry of 65 years, he had been actively involved in full-time Evangelism and was open to invitations to preach, teach, and minister at Churches, Crusades, Missions, Camp Meetings, Seminars, Miracle Services, House Churches, Anniversary Services, Banquets, Retreats and Midweek Meetings regardless of the denomination or size.
