GWEA Monthly Ministry Report, February 2019
After Jesus was crucified, his disciples were discouraged that He was dead. So Peter told the other disciples, "I am going fishing.” And they all went fishing together. After fishing all night, "they caught nothing.” At daybreak, they saw Jesus on the beach. He asked them, "Children, have you any fish?” They answered him, "No”. He told them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they did, and the quantity of the haul was so big they couldn't bring it in” (Jn. 21:4-8). There are too many Christians who do not follow Jesus’ advice for fishing for people. They don’t like to follow Jesus’ system for catching people-fish. They are constantly coming up with alternate fishing plans. They don’t want to do what our "Fishing Book” (the Bible) tells us to do (1 Tim. 3:16-17).
The constant results are "empty nets” and "empty churches”. Our bait is "the foolishness of preaching the Gospel” (1 Cor. 1:23); our bait is Salvation (Acts 4:12); our bait is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 2:11); our bait is the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, (Rom. 12:6-9; 1 Cor. 12:8-10) with the "signs following” (Mk. 16:17-18); our bait is healing for all sicknesses and casting out demons/evil spirits; our bait is a personal relationship with God (Jn. 17:3); our bait is eternal fife (Jn. 3:15) in heaven; and our bait is our personal testimony! (Rev. 12:11) Whenever we use any other bait, the result is empty nets - no people-fish caught! Any so called spiritual fishing system developed by people to replace Jesus’ New Testament fishing program results in failure. Whenever a church or denomination departs from the Scriptures with some kind of New Church Development Program, the results are devastating.
William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army stated: "The chief danger of the 20th century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and Heaven without Hell.”

Gordon invites you to be a "Fishing Partner” who will help bring in a catch of Christian fish that is overwhelming. Please pray for Gordon and financial help to accomplish the ministry to which Jesus has called him. Please pray and ask Jesus what you can do to accomplish this great work. Your prayers and financial support allow Gordon to accept invitations anywhere in Canada, the United States as well as in other countries. Gordon does ministry in churches large and small, and without charging a fee. It is possible because of your love offerings.

Gordon's ministry results and praise reports are shared in the GWEA newsletter each month. Your continued support helps us to harvest the fields that are ripe and ready (Jn. 4:35). Please pray and ask Jesus what you should do to help. Throughout 2019, please help us to increase the harvest of people of all ages into the Kingdom of God (Jn. 4:35).
A woman in her mid 40's explained, "I’ve been tormented by thoughts of suicide. I wish God would take me home. The haunting thoughts of past failures were too hard to live with.” I explained too much of her surprise that Jesus was tempted by the devil to commit suicide by jumping off the pinnacle of the temple in an attempt to attract people to follow him (Matt. 4:5). The thoughts of past failures are not to be taken as guilt but as an opportunity to thank Jesus and "Praise the Lord”. The reason why the devil tempted him to commit suicide was because His ministry was so important. And that is the reason why you are being tempted because Jesus has given you an important ministry. So we prayed asking the Holy Spirit to fill her afresh and to stir up the Gift of tongues (2 Tim. 1:6-7). And she fell to the floor praising Jesus. When she got up, she had peace (Philip. 4:7) and the thoughts of suicide had stopped.
At the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship (FGBMFI), Saskatoon, SK, I was surprised an the number of teenagers and kids in their early 20's who came to receive salvation, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and who fell to the floor speaking in tongues. Some of them went into the hotel bar and witnessed to their friends, bringing them to the meeting for prayer also. One dragged his friend from the bar (who was a little inebriated) and brought him to me for prayer. When I asked him what he wanted to have prayer for, he said, "I’ll take anything you’ve got!” He received salvation and fell to the floor speaking in tongues with ease. He said, "What happened to me?” I explained, "You have just been saved by Jesus and baptized with the Holy Spirit and you have been speaking in tongues.” His mind was now clear, and he said in tears, "Thank you sir!
A woman in her 40's explained to me, "I want prayer for my teenage son to be saved.” I asked her, "Where is he tonight?” Pointing her finger, she said, "He’s over there.” I said, "He’s already saved and baptized with the Holy Spirit.” She responded, "Oh! No! No!” I responded, "Yes he is. I just prayed with him and he accepted Jesus as his Saviour and Lord and was baptized with the Holy Spirit and was speaking in tongues.” She could hardly believe it as tears filled her eyes. I asked her, "Are you a born again Christian?” She said, "Yes.” I asked her, "Have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit yet?” "No”, came her reply. "Would you like to?” "Yes,” I would. We prayed and she received the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues.” Her son came over to see her and put his ear down close to his mother’s mouth to see if she was speaking in tongues. He looked up at me and said, "Yes, she’s got it!”
"THAT WAS NICE!” (MATT. 19:14)
A 9 year old boy asked for prayer for healing of allergies and also to invite Jesus to be his Saviour. I asked him, "Would you also like to invite the Holy Spirit to come into your heart?” He vigorously shook his head, from right to left, saying, "No! No! No!” So I prayed for his healing and salvation and he fell down on the floor. I noticed that his breathing was becoming increasingly faster. So I whispered in his ear, "Little brother, I think that the Holy Spirit has come into your heart, and if you will open your mouth, He’s going to let you speak in tongues. Tears filled his eyes as he opened his mouth and began to speak in tongues. Later he said to me, "That was nice!”
St. Valentine’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world and represents the "Feast of Saint Valentine", a Christian event observed on February 14th each year. "St. Valentine" was a Christian priest who ignored the Roman law that prohibited Christian clergy to marry people, even Christians... See Gordon's Ministry Message for  February 2019.
