REVEREND GORDON WILLIAMS
“GETTING RID OF THE FEAR AND ANXIEY!” (2 TIM. 1:6-7)
At Cooke’s Presbyterian Church, Markdale, Ontario, where the pastor was Rev. Dwight Strain, I shared my testimony and then gave an invitation for prayer. A man who had been involved in the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship explained that most often when he was going do something related to his business or as a Christian, he experienced anxiety in the pit of his stomach. He wanted prayer that this would stop. I asked him if he had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. He told me that he had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I asked him if he prayed in tongues every day and he said that he prayed in tongues occasionally.

I explained that the anxiety was the form of fear that we experience, just as Timothy did and which Paul wrote to him about in his two letters. I said, “You probably know the verse in 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 7 which says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind”. He said he had read the verse. “But,” I said, “I’ll bet that you don’t know verse 6 which tells us the reason for Timothy’s fear or anxiety.” He replied, “You’re right, I don’t.” Paul said, “Hence I remind you to rekindle (stir up) the gift (charismatic gift) of God that is within you through the laying on of hands.” Timothy was not praying in tongues every day so that the Holy Spirit could guide him and give him “power, love and a sound mind” to confidently serve Jesus wherever and in whatever he did.

The man told me had experienced great anxiety that morning. He repented and we prayed for him to be filled afresh with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18-19) as he “stirred up the gift of tongues” (1 Cor. 12:10). The anxiety left him and he experienced the promised, “power, love and a sound mind”.  As he left, I reminded him to pray in tongues daily and whenever he prayed in English. He agreed.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING” (1 THESS. 5:17)
The Apostle Paul learned very quickly that he didn’t need a set of prepared or printed prayers to memorize or use when he needed to pray. Having met Jesus on the Road to Damascus, face to face, made him realize that he was confronted with the mighty, living God. And when he received the Holy Spirit three days later, he learned that he couldn’t take God for granted - it was necessary to hand over to Him every need, every day.

Like James said, “You receive not because you ask not” (Jas. 4:2). Prayer is simply talking to our Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (all are the same and one person). He can tell us His plans for our lives and meet our needs. Above all, He does not want to be taken for granted. “If you then who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him (Matt. 7:11). To “pray without ceasing” means that every time we think of our problems, we need to turn them over to Jesus, not because He is slow but because we get impatient and get anxious while He is working things out for us. Jesus is always available to us 24 hours a day.
This is the reason why we invite you to send in your needs: personal, family, friends, acquaintances, business, church and health needs so we can pray for you. If you need prayer, please email your prayer requests and/or post to our "Facebook Prayer Group Page".
And when Jesus has met your needs, please let us know so we can praise Him along with you and "give thanks with a grateful heart!” We invite you to send in your praise reports and testimonies in a "Thank You Jesus Report." This way many others can be encouraged and be ministered to as well (Rev 12:11). Email your praise reports online through our web page. Jesus still does, "signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his own will” (Heb. 2:4). He wants to supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philip. 4:19).

“JESUS-BLESSED BEEF” (MK. 11:24)
Praise report from Dr. Brent McLaughlin: I attended a farm where the owner is a devout Muslim. I have been on this farm many times and have been hesitant to pray to Jesus out loud due to potential persecution. But after reading accounts of Muslims in the Middle East being brought to Jesus, I thought I would step out in faith and ask the owner if it was alright if I pray to Jesus and ask Him to heal his animal.

He didn’t say no and I didn’t belabour the point, but went ahead and laid hands on the steer and prayed out loud in English and then in tongues. I also “commanded any unclean spirits to leave and go to the abyss”. I then proceeded to administer treatment to the steer. Immediately afterwards we assisted the steer to rise and it got up and ran off to the rest of the herd. I couldn’t even catch it to finish my examination!

“A LETTER OF THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE” (MK. 16:17)
In my home town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, years ago, a 17 year old girl, the daughter of friends was murdered there. The man who murdered the girl was tried in a court, found guilty and sentenced to prison. Before going to prison, he threatened to murder the young woman with whom he had been living. She left town and moved away terrified that he would somehow get out of jail, find her and then kill her. However, two men visited the man in prison and led him to Jesus as his Saviour and prayed with him to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The two men were members of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship (F.G.B.M.F.I.). The man repented, received Jesus as his Saviour and Lord, and then was Baptized with the Holy Spirit. His life had completely changed (2 Cor. 5:17), and he repented for threatening his former girlfriend.

Not long after I was invited to speak and minister at the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship Chapter in Perry Sound where the young woman had lived. She was brought to the meeting and in the course of my testimony, I announced that the murderer had been Saved and Baptized with the Holy Spirit. He asked me to tell his former girlfriend that he would never hurt her again. He didn’t know where she lived, but he wanted her to know that he would never hurt her again. When she heard this, she got up and ran out of the meeting in tears. Then she came back in, and I prayed with her to receive Jesus as her Saviour and Lord, and she was Baptized with the Holy Spirit too. She finally had been set free from her nightmare and then called into ministry.

“GOOD REPORTS ABOUT LIKE A RUSHING MIGHTY WIND”
We continue to receive numerous phone calls from people in different parts of Canada who have read our book, “Like A Rushing Mighty Wind”. They told us that because of how clear the explanations in the book are about the “Normal Christian Life”, they too wanted to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Gordon prayed with each of them on the phone and they all received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. For all of them it was an unusual experience to speak in a language they had not learned before. This is typical for most, but after they got accustomed to praying in the Spirit (tongues) they discovered a new dimension of prayer and direction for their lives.

We receive calls every month from people who have read our book and who have followed its directions. The result is a life that reads like the New Testament and an exciting prayer life with the “signs following”, and the “gifts of the Holy Spirit”. If you don’t have a copy, order one from us right now. Give a copy to family members, friends, co-workers, etc. so they too can have the spiritual emptiness replaced with the “New Wine of the Holy Spirit”.  You can order from us today for a donation of $20.00 each or 3 for $50.00 from our website: Order Gordon Williams Books Tax and postage included.

“JOIN GORDON AS A PARTNER AND FELLOW SERVANT” (2 COR. 8:23)
Paul wrote to the Church in Corinth, he said, “As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker in your service; and as for our brethren, they are apostles of the churches, the glory of Christ” (2 Cor. 8:23). No person can do the ministry of Jesus without having “partners and fellow workers”. You are Gordon’s partners and fellow workers through your prayer and financial support of his ministry.

Paul was sending Titus and other Christians to the Church to receive their promised financial support for his ministry. And he reminded them, as he does us, that “God loves a cheerful giver” (1 Cor. 9:7). The money they sent was “seed” for a harvest measured in terms of the people who were saved, Baptized with the Holy Spirit, healed, delivered, and had their physical needs met (Matt. 24:31-46). The same still holds true for today.

Jesus explains this in the “Parable of the Sower” who sows the word and the harvest. These are the people who are the “good soil” and “who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty-fold and sixty-fold and a hundred-fold” (Mk. 4:3-9;14-20). Please pray and ask Jesus what you can and should do to help Gordon harvest people for the Kingdom of God.

In supporting our ministry with your financial gifts, “God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Cor. 9:8). This means that every Salvation, every Baptism of the Holy Spirit, every healing, every miracle, every deliverance is credited to you because of your partnership with Gordon. Please continue to be a “cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7) and prayerfully ask Jesus how you can contribute.
