Easter is a constant reminder that Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary and was raised from the dead; and three days later He walked out of a borrowed tomb (Jn. 19:41). Two thousand and seventeen years later, He still lives and is "God in the Flesh" (Jn. 1:14).

Jesus was raised physically from the dead and His disciples, startled and frightened, mistakenly thought that He was a spirit or a ghost.

Jesus pointed out that "a spirit (pneuma) had not flesh and bones" as He had; and then He invited them to touch Him to prove his point. To further prove this, He took a piece of broiled fish and physically ate it (Lk. 24:39-42), something a spirit wouldn't be able to do.

Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene, Cephas (Peter), all the apostles, five hundred brethren at one time, James, and then to Paul (1 Cor. 15:1-9). He appeared physically from the dead to call people to take up their cross and follow Him (Jn. 2:11-18).

Ernest Gordon was a man who became a Christian in a Japanese prisoner of war camp, later became a Chaplain at Princeton University. In his book, "The Fact of Miracles" he described a man named Peter Marshall, (the former Chaplain to the USA Senate), who met Jesus one night on the moors of Scotland asking Peter to follow Him to do ministry.

Every Easter, I am reminded of that crucial night in my life, when Jesus visited me in my bedroom and asked me to join Him in ministry. "I want you to come and work for me; I want you to become a fisher of men; and if you will come and work for me, "I will supply all your needs according to my riches in glory."

For those who have not met Jesus in the flesh (physically), His desire is that everyone have the proof of His Resurrection. He wants us to be "baptized with the Holy Spirit" (Jn. 3:5) with the "signs following” (Mk. 16:17-20) just as He did with the first one hundred and twenty people in the Upper Room.

Paul wrote, "In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, which is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory" (Eph. 1:13-14).

We all need our "Personal Day of Pentecost” as "God shows no partiality” (Acts 10:34;11-15). The only people who cannot receive the Holy Spirit (with the evidence of speaking in tongues) are those who do not want to. "Ask and you shall receive" (Matt 7:7-9).

Paul pointed this out when he referred to unbelievers (apistoi) as those who were not full-fledged Christians (idiotai) [1 Cor. 14:23], and who wanted salvation without the authentic baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The greatest Easter Gifts are Salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit - equipping believers to do the "works of Jesus Christ” (Jn. 14:12).

Ministry Message for March 2017

Today church leadership, like the lsrael’s leadership, still take the Kingdom of God by violence. This is also clearly seen in the rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit. Still traditions of the Old Testament such as tithing, (Heb. 7) and the Sabbath day are being practiced.

Today, because of Jesus, the Sabbath day represents every day of the week, and not just one day such as Saturday or Sunday (Heb. 4).

Also, sin and so called generational curses are no longer passed on from one generation to the next (Ez: 18).

Those who have received salvation and the Holy Spirit with the “signs following” (Mk. 15:17–18) are the Temple of God (1 Cor. 13: 16; 2 Cor. 6:16). “The New Jerusalem above is our mother” (Gal. 4:6)...

Ministry Articles for March 2017

"and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters" (Genesis 1:1- 2:7).

The Holy Spirit was at work in the creation of the world, creating each element out of nothing.

Jesus directed every detail (John 1:1-3), and wrought it into existence through the power of His Holy Spirit.

Many people have a problem believing in the Biblical "Creation story..."

People who really know Jesus, have a deep desire for others to know Him as they do. They have no greater joy than sharing their faith with anyone who is open to listen. This desire is part of a "normal" personal relationship with Jesus.

His "great commission" is to "go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." But Jesus went on warning us that, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe, will be condemned" (Mark 16:15-16).

It is "normal" for a Christian who has a relationship with Jesus, to be excited about telling someone something about themselves that will lead them to also believing in Christ. That excitement, however, is tempered by the awful knowledge of what will happen to someone who doesn't want to believe and accept Jesus...

While the world sees love as an emotion, God speaks of it as the embodiment of His essence. Perfect love is the unchangeable, unconditional, undying love of God.

"God is love [agape (ah-gah-paye) love]. (1 John 4:8; John 3:16)"

There are four words for love in the Greek New Testament language: "apape, eros, philos and storge". In English, there is only one word - love.

Perfect love is not "eros" (erotic love), nor is it "philos" (brotherly or friendship love), nor is it "storge" (family love). These kind of loves are imperfect, conditional and can be lost. God's love is perfect. No one can manufacture agape love apart from God. God is "agape" love...

Ministry Report for March 2017

Recently the Lord brought to memory a couple who I had previously ministered to in a Church in New Brunswick. This couple came to have prayer for their son who had been saved, but had turned his back on Jesus.

I asked them if they had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit yet. The woman replied, “I have a difference of opinion about that! I have been taught that tongues is not for today, and I continue to question it!”

“Let’s set aside our difference of opinions and ask Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit despite your unbelief?” I remarked. She agreed!

Then I asked her husband if he had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit yet. He replied, “No.” I explained that they both needed to have the Holy Spirit with the "signs following (Mark 16:17-18)..."

At the Prayer Palace, Toronto Ontario, a man in his 60’s explained, “I keep having heart palpitations, and every time my doctor tests my heart, he tells me everything is okay!”

I asked him, “Have you ever received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues?” He answered, “Yes, I've received when you have been here to do ministry before.”

“Do you pray in tongues every day?" I questioned him. He said, “No! I didn’t know that I was supposed to!”

I shared with him what Paul wrote: “Pray in the Spirit about everything with prayer and supplication” (Eph. 6:18). When we don’t, the Holy Spirit engages us and causes what I call “Holy Spirit Palpitations”.

He remarked, “Then my doctor was right; my heart is okay!” I explained to him that Timothy had a similar problem that caused him to be paralyzed with fear instead...

Your Partnership Helps Us to Share the Gospel! (Mk 16:15-20)

During the past eight weeks, we have received a number of phone calls and emails from people who are looking for a Church where they can find the "signs, wonders and miracles" of Jesus. Paul best described this ministry when he wrote, “It was declared first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard him, while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his own will” (Heb. 2:3–4).

One lady who called me explained that she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit twenty two years ago with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. Since then, she has never found a church to attend that was also guided by the Holy Spirit - she wasn’t even sure that her tongues language was real.

I asked her to pray in the language that she had received; and I immediately was able to interpret the message. She was encouraged to learn in fact that she had received the “signs following."

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:17-18).

Because of your prayer and partnership, we are able to continue to help all those who ask to receive ministry and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Your monthly support allows Gordon to accept invitations to any church, small or large in any town or city in Canada, USA or any other country. Please continue to be a “cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7) and help to increase our ministry. Please pray and ask Jesus what you should do to help.
