"IS IT NECESSARY TO PRAY WITH EVERYONE?"
REVEREND GORDON WILLIAMS, SEPTEMBER 2014

Last newsletter I talked about churches and "Revival!”  I’m going to share about a "Revival" that happened last month when I was in Ecuador from August 2nd through to the 11th!  It all began while having breakfast in a hotel restaurant in Quito. One of the waitresses explained that she was a Christian and would like to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  My interpreter Rodrigo Garcia, his brother Andy and myself accompanied her out on the restaurant’s patio for prayer.  We prayed with her with the laying on of hands and she easily received the Holy Spirit and began to speak in her new tongues language (Mk. 16: 17; Acts 2: 4).

"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues..." Mark 16:17 (NKJV) "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4 (NKJV)

During the next few days we would see about 4,000 people, (adults, children, teenagers, seniors, people of all ages), all receive Salvation, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, healing, deliverance and their needs met as they received prayer!
I was asked, "Is it necessary to pray with everybody individually?”  I explained that many years ago, I was preaching to a conference of about 30,000 people.  When I gave invitation for prayer, I was told that there were about 10,000 people who came for prayer.  I was surprised!  I ran across them quickly laying hands on people and they fell down under the power of the Holy Spirit. I blew on people and they fell backwards.  I waved my coat over people and they fell down. I was having a wonderful time.

When I returned to my hotel room, while thanking Jesus for a wonderful ministry time, He said, "Nobody received ministry tonight!  All you did was put on an entertainment performance.  From now on, when I send people to you for ministry, you will pray for each person individually, even if you have to pray with them all night.”  I repented and determined to never do such a foolish thing again! Regrettably many evangelists, teachers and preachers have turned their ministries into entertainment performances because of the notoriety and publicity from their TV, Radio and public meetings.

Each person who responds to an invitation is important to Jesus because He paid for our Salvation on the Cross of Calvary. He sent the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost to be our Counselor (parakletos) who is our heavenly appointed "Defense Lawyer” (Jn. 16: 7–16).

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father." (KJV)

Jesus tells us to consult Him every day and listen to His advice (Rev. 2: 7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). If you have not received salvation, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the "Signs Following” (Mk. 16: 17– 18), healing, deliverance, or your needs met, come to one of our meetings or call me for prayer.  Let’s make 2014 a revival year!
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” Revelation 2:7 (NKJV)

Yours in Jesus,
Rev. Gordon Williams
