REVEREND GORDON WILLIAMS
"SURPRISE! NOW BOTH ARE EQUALLY YOKED!” (2 COR. 6: 14)
At the Full Gospel Church, St. Catharines, where the Sr. Pastor is Rev. Jim Wright, a couple in their 50's came for prayer. When I asked them what they wanted to have prayer, the woman said, "I’m a Christian but I’ve never been Baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. She added, "My husband isn't a believer.”
We prayed and she received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and fell to the floor speaking in tongues (Acts 2: 4). When I asked the man what he wanted prayer for, he said. "She’s wrong! I am a believer but not the way she thinks.” I asked him, "Would you like to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?” "Of course, I would!” he responded. We prayed and he received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in his new tongues language (Mk. 16: 17).
"THE SECOND BLESSING” (ACTS 2: 4)
I met with a couple in Tim Horton’s Restaurant, Newmarket, ON. During our discussion, the man whom I had just met for the first time, shared with me that he had originally been raised in the Salvation Army and had heard about what they called the "Second Blessing” which was a second experience which happens when a person is Baptized with the Holy Spirit. He had heard about it but nobody ever could tell him how he could receive it. He asked me, "Have you heard of it?” It used to be discussed and encouraged in most of the churches 100 years ago but most churches had stopped encouraging people to receive it. I mentioned that the founders of the Salvation Army, William & Catherine Booth not only experienced it but encouraged their people to seek and receive it.
So I asked him, "Would you like to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?” He said, "I most certainly would!” So, I explained that Tim Horton was a good place to do ministry, and so, "If you would like, I would like to pray with you to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.” He agreed and we prayed and he began to speak with his "new” tongues "language” (Acts 2: 4:Mk. 16: 17). A little while later, he went to the men’s washroom and came back and said, "I can feel my toes. I have suffered from neuropathy causing my feet and toes to be were numb as the result of diabetes.” The Holy Spirit brought healing with the "Second Blessing”.

"EDIFICATION MEANS HEALING WHEN WE PRAY IN TONGUES”
When I answered the telephone, the voice said, "I’m calling again for prayer. I have a hole in the bottom of my foot. I’m going for treatment. It’s sore and I can’t walk straight and normally. I’m having an emotional concern too. I then said, "Let me pray for you.” Then, I asked, "Have you received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues yet? (Mk. 16: 17)” "No, not yet,” he answered. I explained that when we need healing, we need to pray in English and in the new language that the Holy Spirit gives us (Acts 2: 4) because Paul tells us that when we pray in tongues we get edified (1 Cor. 14: 4), which means we receive healing.” He agreed and he received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and began to pray in his new language as I prayed for healing. When we stopped praying, he remarked, it’s not hurting as much.
OUR BEST MEMORIES” (Ps. 105: 5)
On March 25 this year, I received a telephone call from a woman I had met some years ago. Her daughter, Tara, had died and she called to ask me if I would conduct her funeral for her. I agreed. Her 45 year old son came from France to be with his mother. When I met him, she said, "You have met Gordon before. When you were 7 years old you, in church service, you received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and were slain in the Spirit and spoke in tongues” (Acts 2: 38). Surprised, he said,
"So you were the minister at that meeting! It was one of my best memories. I remember it as one of the highlights of my life. I have always wondered who the minister was - it was you. Thank you!” Beverly said, "And that’s not all that happened that night. You said in a word of knowledge (1 Cor. 12: 8) that "somebody” who was deaf in her right ear was going to be healed. I said, "I’m claiming that for me.” She put her hand on her right ear. And when you prayed for me, my ear was healed. Also, I was Baptized with the Holy Spirit & spoke in tongues. In the same service, Tara was saved, and baptized with the Holy Spirit (Acts: 2: 4).
