“HELP US TO EQUIP THE SAINTS FOR MINISTRY” (EPH. 4:12)
When Jesus had an unexpected visit from Nicodemus he asked him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him” (Jn. 3:2). What he was really asking was, “What must I do to be saved?”
Amongst the many things that Jesus said, this scripture is important to our Salvation: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (Jn. 3:5). "Born of water" refers to the water baptism, and repentance for our sin. The "Spirit" refers to the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" as on the "Day of Pentecost" when one hundred and twenty believers after receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, went into the streets of Jerusalem speaking in tongues and not their own native languages. People heard and understood the Gospel in their own national language, resulting in three thousand people receiving Salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the signs following (Mk. 16:17–18).
Too many people have been told today by their Pastors that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the signs following are not for today. They are wrong. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are necessary for Salvation, and to be effective witnesses for Jesus. Without the two component parts of being born again (water and the Holy Spirit), many believers complain that there is “something missing” in their Christian lives. Recently, I've prayed with many from across Canada and the United States for the "authentic" Baptism of the Holy Spirit. They all received with signs following! (Acts 2:4; Mk. 16:17–18). Your monthly support allows us to accept invitations to any church, small or large in any town or city in Canada, USA or any other country. Continue to be a “cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7) and help us increase our ministry. Please pray and ask Jesus what you should do to help. “COW GETS HEALED FROM VETERINARIAN'S PRAYER”(LK. 18:27)
I received this praise report from one of our House Church Leaders: “A non-Christian client came into the clinic today when I wasn’t there and told the other associate (non-Christian) vet and the office manager (Christian) about the fact that Dr. McLaughlin prayed for his cow and she was healed. I and my boss had attended to this cow who had a severe infection in her foot that only amputation would cure. The farmer said he would think about that possibility and so I said in the meantime I would pray for a miracle of healing and so right there in the barn, I prayed for the cow’s foot to heal. I never heard back about the outcome until today (2 months later) when he came into the clinic and reported it to the staff there!” (Dr. Brent McLaughlin, Veterinarian, and House Church Leader for Beaverton and Fenelon Falls, Ontario, Canada.)
“DON’T LET ANYONE ROB YOUR INITIAL GIFT OF HOLY SPIRIT” (ACTS 2:4)
At a meeting in a church in Richmond, B.C., a man wearing a Boy Scout Leader’s uniform came for prayer. I asked him, “What would you like to have prayer for?” He responded, “I have a problem with your statement that you believe that tongues is for every Christian. Did not the apostle Paul say, 'Do all speak in tongues? Do all prophesy?' meaning that tongues is not for everybody?”
I explained that Paul was telling us about the use of tongues in worship services. Paul picked up on the discussion in 1 Corinthians 14:27, when he said, “If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at the most three, and each in turn; and let one interpret.” However according to Mark 16:17, all believers are supposed to speak in tongues as one of the “signs following”. This believer had like many others, refrained from receiving tongues because of this. After clarifying this, I asked him, “Would you like to receive God's spiritual gift of speaking in tongues?” He agreed fully. We prayed together as I laid hands on him and the Holy Spirit filled him. Easily he began to speak in his Holy Spirit new tongues language (Mk. 16.17; Acts 2:4). We must be very careful not to exclude ourselves from receiving any of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 12:6–8; 1 Cor. 12:8–10) especially tongues. James tells us that our tongue is the most uncontrollable organ in our body and must be "tamed like a rudder on a ship" (Jas. 3:4-5). When we use our "tongues", the gift of national languages, we can trust Jesus to guide us to saying what is necessary and appropriate at the right time (Lk 12:12). “TITHING, ALMS AND OFFERINGS MAKES US GENEROUS GIVERS.” (2 COR. 9:7)
During question and answer time at a meeting in St. Thomas, Ontario, where I was teaching on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4), a young woman asked me, “Is it necessary to tithe 10 per cent of our income to the Lord’s work?”
"Yes, I replied, "it is necessary if you want Jesus to supply all of your needs” (Philip. 4:19). She argued, “No, it’s not in the New Testament!” I explained to her that it started in the Old Testament and God carried it over into the New Testament (Heb.7:1–17). I told her that Jesus is the "new Melchizedek" and "the collector of our tithes" and if we don't tithe, we are robbing God, the one who helps us financially (Mal. 3:6–12). She got angry and left. Later, she returned to the meeting and told me she went home and read the Scriptures and discovered I was right! So we prayed together and she received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of the “signs following” (Mk. 16:17-18). “FOR FREEDOM CHRIST HAS SET FREE US FREE.” (GAL. 5:1)
On one of our ministry trips to Athabasca, Alberta, my host, Dr. Ed Mol. received a message that one of his Senior residence patients had expressed "a wish to die.” Dr. Mol knew the woman and about her smoking problem, and that most likely she had said if she didn`t get a cigarette, she was going to die!
We met with her, and prayed together to invite Jesus to be her Saviour as well as for her to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. She spoke in tongues effortlessly (Acts 2:38). I asked her to hand over her cigarettes to me in case she was tempted to smoke again. I told her that smoking was really an attempt to satisfy what Jesus called," our hunger and thirst for righteousness" (Matt. 5:6) or right friendship with God. The Holy Spirit indwelling in a person replaces the need to smoke and Jesus sets us free of our afflictions. As a reminder of that meeting, I still have her remaining cigarettes and lighter in my files. Amen. “I AM SATISFIED WITH THE FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.” (ACTS 1:8)
Earlier this week, I received a call from a friend who told me that her Christian friend felt like there was “something missing” in her life. I knew what she meant. Later I learned that her friend had never received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
I arranged to meet the two ladies at a Tim Horton’s restaurant in Brampton, Ontario. We prayed together and she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the signs following. She remarked, “I am feeling better and I'm satisfied with the fullness of the Holy Spirit - nothing is missing now!” Since the bible tells us to meditate on the word (Philip. 4:8), this scripture is most appropriate: “If you being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him” (Lk. 11:13).
If you, your family and/or friends would like to receive either Salvation, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, a Gift of the Holy Spirit, Healing, Deliverance, etc., I invite you come to one of our house meetings or contact me. Yours in Jesus,
Rev. Gordon Williams

Having visions and revelations from the Lord doesn't make one Christian more spiritual, or closer to God than any other Christian. These are given by the Holy Spirit for various reasons: for repentance, direction, teaching, correction, encouragement, assurance, and as tools God uses to call us into ministry... READ MORE...
There will always be fleshly so-called "super-apostles" or as the Greek word says, "outstanding, special, extra-special" apostles who promote themselves as being far superior to the authentic ones, like Paul. They are legends in their own minds who deceive gullible believers into thinking that the real, Holy Spirit-anointed apostles are not really as good as they are... READ MORE...
"But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ 'This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.'” (Luke 12:13-21).
It can be dangerous to ask Jesus a question. In this passage, a greedy man asked Jesus to order his brother to divide his inheritance with him. The question he should have asked was, "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" He betrayed his heart... READ MORE... "Increase our faith" the apostles beseeched Jesus. They like us, would have liked Jesus to give them enormous volumes of faith, thinking that the more they had, the more signs, wonders and miracles they would be able to perform.
Such a request indicates a total misunderstanding of faith and servanthood. Faith stems from time spent with Jesus, developing a relationship with Him in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Only after salvation and Baptism in the Holy Spirit, can we confidently order mountains of problems to be cast into the sea... READ MORE...
Jesus spoke in parables so that only those who were "to know the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven" would understand. In the parable of the sower, Jesus describes four kinds of soil, of which only one produces fruit. Only the "good soil" produces one hundred, sixty and thirty-fold yield of fruit.

Both the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are necessary to have a "normal Christian life" so we can minister to the needs of other people. Without both, we end up with faith without works, or works without faith. The fruit of the Spirit is absolutely necessary so that the gifts of the Holy Spirit can be accepted and received by people without fear...
"The jar of meal was not spent, neither did the cruse of oil fail..." (1 Kings 17:8-16).
It is not always easy to trust the Lord God, especially when we have run out of money and almost out of food. This was the situation in which the widow of Zarephath found herself. Elijah asked her for something to eat, but she barely had enough flour and oil to feed... READ MORE... |
